This hotel is considered an elite establishment. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city, a 5-minute walk from the train station, Chartres Cathedral and the old town. I would recommend to those who come to Chartres by train. Parking is not the most convenient, but the station is within easy reach. After the renovation, the reviews about the hotel became positive (before the rooms were very cramped with old furniture and a specific smell). So make sure your room has been recently refurbished before you check in. Breakfast for an additional fee is quite poor and unreasonably expensive. The main pluses are the proximity to the train station and the historical part of the city with Chartres Cathedral (7-10 minutes walk).

La Villa Saint Pierre Chambres d'hôtes

Very nice mini-hotel in an old mansion right opposite the church of St. Petra. This is a private guest house with only a few rooms, so you will have a feeling of home comfort and peace of mind. Near the park with the river, the quiet center of Chartres, only 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Be sure to rent bikes and ride the bike paths. Here you can also rent catamarans and arrange a river promenade. Great place for those who come to Chartres for a few days! Parking is right under the hotel windows, but there may be problems with free places.

Hôtellerie Saint Yves  

How about monastic chambers?! :) Lovely quiet place in the heart of the city. You will feel like you are in the middle of everything: the old streets, the view of Chartres Cathedral, the Bishop's terraces and much more. I recommend the hotel to those who arrive by car or without heavy suitcases, as getting to it on foot from the station is not the easiest option. Motorists should be aware that the entrance to the old part of the city where the hotel is located is closed, but you will need to press the "border post" button and say: "Bonjour! Otelry St. Yves, sil vu ple!" - and then you will safely drive to the hotel parking.
